Introduction

Lou Peyrol is a restaurant with rooms just 20 minutes from Bergerac and its international airport. This is luxury bed & breakfast accommodation combined with fine dining.

Saint-Marcel du Perigord is in the heart of the Perigord region. It is a charming authentic village with honey coloured stone buildings surrounded by a rambling oak forest. We offer you the opportunity to relax in calm surroundings before enjoying a special evening in the restaurant.

We are open all the year round and can help you organize both activity based stays or simple getaway or romantic weekends.

Your hosts

Philippe trained at hotel school in his native Alsace before working in France, Switzerland, Germany and the UK. This included stints working for the French consulate in Munich, sous-chef at the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof in Zermatt and a year at the Cheval Blanc, 2 michelin starred restaurant in Alsace. He then spent time as the Head Chef at the City Brasserie in London and as a teacher with the Cordon Bleu International Cookery school which included working all over the world adding to his culinary experiences.

Philippe and his wife Fiona have owned Auberge Lou Peyrol since July 2003. They have gradually gained recognition in most of France’s major food guides and built up the business employing fulltime staff and apprentices. The rooms were added in spring 2009.

  • 35 euros (appetiser, starter, main course, dessert – choice from the a la carte menu, supplements as for the a la carte menu).
